Mokena Centrifuge Addition ​

Overview

Evaluated replacement options for dewatering equipment. Concluded that a centrifuge skid system would be a good fit for Mokena’s dewatering operations.

Scope​

• Conducted a life-cycle cost analysis to determine the most long-term cost-effective sludge dewatering process, along with a return on investment calculation to determine the project payback period

• Conceived a phased design solution to expedite the project and restored sludge dewatering capabilities

Results​​

• The Village has new, reliable, cost-effective dewatering equipment that will facilitate operations for years

• The new centrifuge was operational in time to prevent the need to pay for contract dewatering operations
