Overview

Replacement of pumps and pump controls, coating of the wet well, valve vault, and piping, and installation of a new natural gas engine generator.

Challeneges​​

Unique challenges in bypass pumping and impacts to residents. The upstream manhole is located within a driveway across a roadway and traditional bypass pumping would involve disruption to residential traffic and the use of a private driveway.

Successes​​

Coordination with the client, contractor, and residents led to an innovative solution to traditional bypass pumping that eliminated the need for the bypass pumping hose to be installed in a roadway and minimized impacts to the resident’s driveway.
