Hickory Hills - MFT/RBI Resurfacing Program CE

This project involved comprehensive pavement and streetscape improvements to enhance roadway performance, safety, and accessibility. The work included milling and resurfacing of existing pavement, concrete and sidewalk upgrades, and associated restoration. Cold milling of the existing surface course to the specified depth and hot-mix asphalt patching where required was completed, followed by placement of a 1-1/2” asphalt binder course to establish proper pavement cross slope, and a 1-1/2” HMA surface course.

Removal and replacement of driveways, sidewalks, and concrete curb and gutter, including installation of new sidewalk and detectable warning panels, were also performed, along with pavement marking and site restoration. The result is improved pavement condition, ride quality, and drainage through corrected cross slope and new asphalt surfaces, enhanced pedestrian safety and accessibility with new sidewalks, curb ramps, and detectable warnings, extended service life of roadway and concrete infrastructure, reducing future maintenance needs, and clear, durable pavement markings and restored areas that improved overall corridor appearance and functionality.
