Overview
There was extreme flooding at the intersections of Maple, Center, and Walnut, and North and Elm. This caused stormwater inside resident’s homes and significant yard flooding. There was a Lack of overland flow routes, an undersized stormwater conveyance system, and restrictive outlets to Spring Brook Creek.
Scope

Constructed new storm sewer main lines (18”-48”) in right-of-way with inlets and check valves at critical locations

Reconstructed and reprofiled roadways from rural to an urban section (curb and gutter); water main replacement

Regraded parkway to provide positive drainage towards roadways

Navigated utility requirements & coordinated public outreach initiatives

Maintained access to residents and businesses during construction
