Romeoville Proposed Metra Station Preliminary Site Assessment & Investigation Southwest Corner of 135th St. & New Ave.
Robinson conducted a Preliminary Environmental Site Assessment (PESA) of three parcels of land located at the southwest corner of 135th Street and New Avenue, in Romeoville, Illinois. The project area included a 100-foot right-of-way owned by the Canadian National Railroad and two industrial parcels owned by the CITGO Lemont Refinery. The project area was redeveloped into a Metra train station.
Conducted site visits of the project area and reviewed historical and geological information obtained from various local, state and federal sources in order to identify Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs)
Conducted Preliminary Environmental Site Assessment (PESA) conducted in a timely manner in accordance with the Illinois department of Transportation (IDOT) and Illinois State Geological Survey (ISGS)
The subsurface investigation included the advancement of soil borings and soil sampling and testing in the areas of concern
