Tinley Park Post 6 Sanitary Lift Station Replacement​

Overview

The Village of Tinley Park needed to replace an existing 1.7 MGD sanitary lift station that was nearing the end of its useful life as evidenced by the deterioration of the steel wet well along with outdated electrical gear.

Scope​

• Solicited owner’s participation during the design process to provide a custom solution that achieved the Village’s objectives

• Integration of the new lift station into the Village’s SCADA system

• Inclusion of higher efficiency pumps to reduce operating costs

• Integration of the existing emergency generator into the new electrical and control system

Results

• Complete evaluation, recommendations, and design of the lift station replacement

• Worked closely with Village staff to provide a design that achieved their objectives

• Maintained compatibility with the site constraints and their existing collection system
