GEOCON Professional Services, LLC (GEOCON), Robinson Engineering’s affiliate company, was retained by Premier Cooperative to prepare a Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan for a new petroleum bulk plant at the Apex grain handling and storage facility in Tolono, Champaign County, Illinois. GEOCON prepared the SPCC Plan in accordance with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) oil pollution prevention regulations, Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations Part 112 (40 CFR 112), in order to prevent oil spills from occurring, and to perform safe, efficient and timely response in the event of a spill or leak at the facility.

As part of the plan preparation process, GEOCON also assisted Premier Cooperative with obtaining a Special Use Permit from the Champaign County Planning and Zoning committee, including attendance and providing testimony at committee meetings.
