In our experience, we have found that nothing adversely affects local residents, or incites public outcry, more than drainage and flooding problems. Robinson Engineering is accustomed to being very sensitive to all of our client communities’ storm water management needs. From minor backyard drainage problems to full watershed flood studies, Robinson has the expertise to address all floodplain and storm water management concerns. This includes hydrologic and hydraulic studies, floodplain modifications, storm sewer and detention pond designs, and pumping station facilities.
Our experienced team of engineers, hydrologists, engineering technicians, CAD technicians and surveyors emphasize the need for practical solutions in providing plan development and specifications for storm sewers and detention ponds. We utilize various computer modeling applications in designing storm water management plans, storm sewer systems and appurtenant structures. Robinson also provide expertise in the design and construction of culverts, flood plain studies, CRS applications, stream bank stabilization, reviews of development plans and storm water permits. We have extensive experience with the various design standards throughout the region required to complete all types of storm water management projects.
Robinson also realizes the vital role that wetlands play in our environment, and recognizes their importance in water quality and best management practice applications. Identification of existing wetlands within project limits is an essential part of our planning process, as well as preparation of environmentally sound mitigation plans, maintenance plans and meeting all Clean Water Act permitting requirements.
