Recognized as the premier municipal engineering firm in the Chicago Southland for over 60 years, Robinson partners with over 35 local municipalities and sanitary districts throughout northeastern Illinois and northwest Indiana to provide master planning, design and implementation of every conceivable type of public infrastructure improvement.  We are also pre-qualified to provide professional services for the Illinois Department of Transportation, Indiana Department of Transportation, Cook County Highway Department, Will County Highway Department, Lake County Highway Department, Illinois Tollway Authority, Illinois Capital Development Board and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and occasionally perform private sector developments for selected clients.

Our main office and corporate headquarters are located in South Holland, IL, about 20 miles from downtown Chicago.  Over the past decade, company growth and continued dedication to fully serve our client communities has resulted in new branch offices in Gary and Merrillville, IN, and Frankfort.

The REL team consists of about 100 full-time employees, including 34 engineers and 2 land surveyors complemented by a highly skilled technical support staff.  Approximately 75% of our engineers and surveyors have registered professional licenses in Illinois and/or Indiana.  Many employees enhance their active community roles through involvement with local governmental, educational and institutional bodies, local chambers of commerce, and youth groups.
